Durability and easy maintenance in open-plan living spaces
The developer wanted a bold natural oak look with heavy knots and cracks (EF Grade) while ensuring the flooring remained practical for daily use in open kitchen environments. Concerns included stain resistance, easy cleaning, and long-term stability for a large-scale residential project.
Our Solution
To preserve the dramatic natural appearance while ensuring practicality, we applied a professional deep resin filling and precision sanding process to all cracks and knots. This maintained the authentic rustic texture while creating a smooth, safe, and easy-to-clean surface.
For surface protection, we selected a premium Wax Oil finish, which penetrates deep into the wood fibers to provide strong water and stain resistance while maintaining the authentic matte texture and natural touch of real oak.
To support the large 3500m2 installation, we recommended a high-efficiency Click installation system. Combined with the oversized 2200 × 220 mm plank format, the system enabled faster floating installation, reduced labor costs, and improved project efficiency.
The stable 3-layer engineered structure also ensured excellent dimensional stability for the extra-large planks under varying temperature and humidity conditions.
