Rustic Oak 150mm Long Plank Engineered Flooring Natural Oil EF Grade — SA-01
Rustic Oak 150mm Long Plank Engineered Flooring Natural Oil EF Grade — SA-01
SA-01 is a 150mm long plank rustic oak engineered floor in EF maximum natural character grade, lightly brushed and finished with natural oil: 14/3mm three-layer construction with a 3mm solid European oak wear layer, click floating installation. SA-01 is stocked in AMUER’s Serbia warehouse and is available for immediate dispatch to EU markets — no factory lead time, no container shipment wait, no customs delay for EU buyers. This makes SA-01 the fastest-available engineered oak specification in the AMUER range for European buyers requiring rapid project fulfilment, specifier samples, or contractor stock replenishment.
The floor itself combines EF maximum natural character grade with a light brushed surface and natural oil finish — a combination that produces the most authentic, natural, and warm presentation of European oak possible. EF grade retains every naturally occurring feature of the species: prominent knots from pin features to large feature knots; open cracks and natural checks (factory-filled); bark inclusions (factory-filled); dramatic swirling grain and cathedral arches; and extreme colour variation from pale cream sapwood to deep amber-russet heartwood. The light brushed surface is deliberately restrained compared with a standard brush treatment: the early-wood fibres are opened gently, adding a subtle grain texture without the more pronounced ridged relief of a full brushed surface. This allows the natural oil to penetrate evenly across the full board face including the EF grade’s complex natural features. Natural oil feeds the oak fibres, preserves and deepens the warm honey-gold natural colour, and produces an open-pore matte surface that is tactile, warm, and alive in a way that UV lacquer cannot replicate. SA-01 is the specification for the EU buyer who needs a genuinely characterful natural oak floor — with the maximum natural drama of EF grade, the warmth of natural oil finish — available now, from Serbia.

Colour
SA-01 Natural Rustic Oak — warm honey-gold to amber-russet; 100% natural unmodified European oak in EF grade; EF grade produces the full colour range of the species: pale cream-white sapwood, warm honey-gold heartwood, richer amber and russet tones in high-tannin areas; the natural oil finish deepens and enriches the warm honey-gold baseline colour, adding warmth and depth; under natural oil the floor reads warmer and more golden than the same grade under UV lacquer, which reads slightly lighter and crisper
Surface Treatment
Light Brushed — a deliberately gentle wire-brush treatment that opens the grain texture without the more pronounced ridging of a standard or heavy brush treatment; the light brush removes the softest early-wood fibres to create a subtle, tactile grain texture across the board face; at EF grade with large knots and complex grain, the light brush accentuates the natural topography of each board without overwhelming the grain features with heavy texture; the light brush also ensures even natural oil penetration across the full board face including around factory-filled knots and cracks
Finish
Natural Oil — plant-based penetrating natural oil; feeds and nourishes the light-brushed oak fibres; deepens and enriches the warm honey-gold natural colour; open-pore matte surface with genuine tactile quality; the natural oil is the most authentic and warm finish for EF grade rustic oak; requires periodic maintenance re-oiling to preserve surface condition and colour depth; maintenance re-oiling restores and deepens the warm natural colour over time
Grading
EF — Maximum Natural Character Grade: all naturally occurring features of European oak retained without selection or exclusion; prominent open and solid knots across the full size range; open cracks and natural checks (factory-filled, stable); bark inclusions and natural voids (factory-filled, stable); dramatic swirling grain, cathedral arches, interlocked grain; extreme colour variation from pale cream sapwood to deep amber-russet heartwood; all factory-filled features stable under natural oil
Edge Profile
Micro-Bevel — precision machined chamfer on all four board edges; creates a uniform V-groove shadow line between boards; on EF grade at 150mm the micro-bevel defines each board without competing with the dramatic natural features
Installation
Click floating (Uniclic-compatible) — no adhesive required
Underfloor Heating
Compatible — maximum surface temperature 27°C; maintain 45–60% RH year-round; natural oil finish requires careful humidity management over UFH

PRODUCT OVERVIEW · SA-01 RUSTIC OAK NATURAL OIL EF GRADE

Light Brushed Natural Oil on EF Grade — The Most Natural Surface Combination

SA-01 combines EF maximum natural character grade with two surface treatments that together produce the most authentic, warm, and natural presentation of European oak available in an engineered format: light brushed surface and natural oil finish. These two treatments work in harmony — and the specific choice of light brushed rather than standard brushed is deliberate and important.

Standard brushing removes a significant quantity of early-wood fibres, creating a pronounced ridge-and-channel texture that is visible from across the room and highly tactile underfoot. On an EF grade floor with large knots, open cracks, and complex grain, a full standard brush treatment would add a heavy texture layer over an already dramatically featured surface. The light brush treatment on SA-01 is more restrained: it opens the grain structure gently, creates a subtle visible texture, and — critically — ensures that the natural oil penetrates evenly and consistently across the full board face including the complex areas around factory-filled knots, cracks, and bark inclusions. The result is a surface that feels genuinely natural and slightly textured underfoot without the more aggressively rustic character of a heavily brushed floor.

Natural oil is the definitive finish for SA-01 and for EF grade rustic oak generally. Where UV lacquer produces a crisper, slightly lighter appearance that reads as a sealed, protected surface, natural oil feeds into the oak fibres and becomes part of the wood itself. The natural oil deepens and enriches the honey-gold EF grade colour: the warm amber and golden tones are amplified by the oil, and the darkening of the colour around knot halos and high-tannin zones is further enriched. Under natural oil, EF grade oak reads as warmer, deeper, and more complex than the same grade under lacquer — the colour has depth and variation that changes in different lighting conditions, responding to morning light differently from afternoon light, and to warm artificial light differently from cool daylight.

The open-pore matte surface of natural oil is tactile in a way that UV lacquer is not. The board surface feels like wood rather than like a sealed coating. Barefoot on SA-01 is a significantly different experience from barefoot on a lacquered floor: the light brushed grain texture and the open oil surface create a warm, slightly yielding contact that is the hallmark of quality natural-finish oak flooring. This tactile quality is part of SA-01’s material value — it cannot be seen in a photograph, only experienced in person.
Design Guide
SA-01’s EF maximum character grade, natural oil warmth, light brushed texture, 150mm long plank format, and Serbia stock availability make it the natural specification for warm, character-rich, and natural-material interior projects across Europe where authentic oak quality and rapid availability are both priorities.
Farmhouse, Barn  & Country House
SA-01 is the defining floor for farmhouse, barn conversion, and country house interiors across Europe. The EF grade natural oil combination directly references the material quality of antique period oak flooring; the light brush adds just enough texture to feel genuine without aggression; and the Serbia stock means rural European project timelines can be met without long manufacturing waits.
Warm Natural  & Maximalist
In natural maximalist interiors where authentic materials are celebrated in their unselected form, SA-01’s EF grade natural oil combination is the floor specification that all other natural material choices are anchored by. The warm, open, tactile natural oil surface resonates with handmade ceramics, unprocessed natural stone, woven linen and jute, and patinated or aged metal in a way that a lacquered floor cannot replicate.
Warm Heritage  & Traditional
Against deep wall colours and rich traditional decoration — dark greens, warm navies, terracotta, deep burgundy — SA-01’s natural oil EF grade reads as the warm, authentic material ground that period and traditional interiors deserve. The natural oil warmth complements antique furniture and warm lighting in a way that a lacquered floor cannot achieve.
Installation & Room Suitability
Click Installation (Floating)
SA-01 uses Uniclic-compatible click floating installation. No adhesive required. Boards float over the subfloor on an approved acoustic underlay.
•No adhesive — click lock floating installation
•Subfloor flatness: 3mm per 2m maximum
•Approved underlay: acoustic/thermal, 3mm maximum
•Expansion gap: minimum 12mm at all walls
•Acclimatisation: 48 hours at room temperature — essential for natural oil boards
•Install along the longest room dimension
•Stagger end joints: minimum 300mm between adjacent rows
•Micro-bevel joints: do not fill or caulk
EF grade factory-fills: stable under natural oil; no special handling required
Underfloor Heating
SA-01 is compatible with UFH. Natural oil finish with EF grade over UFH requires careful humidity management: maintain 45–60% RH year-round without exception.
•Maximum surface temperature: 27°C
•Switch off UFH 48 hours before installation
•After installation: increase +1–2°C per day to target
•Maintain indoor humidity: 45–60% RH year-round — critical for natural oil
•Natural oil requires humidity management more than UV lacquer over UFH
•Thermal resistance: 0.15 m²K/W maximum
•Re-oiling schedule: may need re-oiling more frequently in rooms with active UFH

Notes
Living Rooms
Exceptional
SA-01’s EF grade character and natural oil warmth make it an outstanding living room floor. The EF grade features read at 150mm width with full drama; the natural oil’s warmth creates a genuinely enveloping living room material. The open-pore surface adds tactile quality underfoot. Prompt spill response required for natural oil maintenance.
Farmhouse & Rural Residential
Exceptional
SA-01 is the natural specification for farmhouse and rural residential projects where the maximum natural character of European oak and the authentic warmth of natural oil finish are both required. The Serbia stock availability makes it practical for rural European project timelines.
Heritage & Country House
Exceptional
EF grade natural oil oak at 150mm is the most historically authentic engineered floor specification available. The floor reads as genuine old-growth character oak finished in natural oil — the material and finish combination that would have been standard in historic country houses. Available immediately from Serbia stock.
Open Plan Living
Excellent
EF grade at 150mm creates a visually rich, tonal floor across large open-plan spaces. The natural oil warmth anchors the open plan with genuine material character. The Serbia stock availability allows entire floor quantities for large projects to be dispatched without production wait.
Bedrooms
Excellent
Natural oil EF grade creates a warm, enveloping, authentic bedroom floor. The open-pore surface is particularly pleasant barefoot. Periodic re-oiling is manageable in a bedroom context with low traffic and moderate wear.
Dining Rooms
Excellent
Natural oil is less water-resistant than UV lacquer; dining spills require immediate response. The EF grade warmth and character is exceptional in a dining room context. If low-maintenance is a priority for dining rooms, SA-01 with UV lacquer (available as China factory order NC-02) may be more appropriate.
Home Offices
Good with care
Natural oil is manageable in a home office with desk chair mat. Periodic re-oiling required. The EF grade character creates a distinctive, warm working environment.
Hallways (residential)
Good with care
Natural oil requires more frequent re-oiling in high-traffic hallways. EF grade warm character and 150mm width create an excellent hallway statement. Serbia stock makes rapid availability for hallway projects achievable.
Kitchen (dry zone)
Good with care
Natural oil less water-resistant than lacquer; strict spill protocol essential in kitchen environments. Suitable for dining zone only; not recommended near sink or cooking areas.
Bathrooms
Not Recommended
Not suitable for wet environments.
Care & Maintenance — Natural Oil on Light Brushed EF Grade Oak
Task
Method
Daily
Dry sweep or vacuum with soft brush head along grain direction. The light-brushed grain channels collect fine grit — remove regularly to prevent abrasion of the natural oil surface. EF grade’s warm honey-gold tone is moderately forgiving of everyday dust.
Weekly
Damp mop with a well-wrung cloth and pH-neutral natural oil floor cleaner only. No steam mop. No standard household cleaners. No standing water. Work along the grain direction. The natural oil surface requires more care than UV lacquer with water exposure.
Spills
Wipe immediately with a dry cloth. Natural oil is less water-resistant than UV lacquer. On EF grade with factory-filled features, spills should be removed before they can penetrate any micro-gap between factory fill and surrounding wood. Coloured liquids (wine, coffee, juice) require immediate response.
Micro-bevel joints
Do not fill or caulk micro-bevel joints. Clean with soft vacuum brush along joint direction. Do not allow water to stand in joints.
Periodic re-oiling
Re-oil every 1–3 years depending on traffic. Use a natural or warm-neutral natural oil maintenance product matched to the honey-gold colour (avoid coloured or tinted oils unless deliberately shifting the tone). Apply thinly with cloth or brush, working with the grain. Allow 15–20 minutes penetration, buff off excess. Re-oiling restores surface condition, deepens the warm colour, and protects factory-filled features.
EF grade features
Factory-filled knots, cracks, and bark inclusions are stable under natural oil. During re-oiling, apply oil across the full board face including filled features — the oil will not damage or loosen correctly installed factory fills. Do not sand or abrade filled features between full refinishing cycles.
Furniture
Felt pads under all furniture legs. Protective mat under desk chairs. Natural oil surface requires protective pads more than UV lacquer.
Never
Steam mop · standing water at joints · standard household cleaners with ammonia or bleach (will strip natural oil) · lacquer or polyurethane products over natural oil (incompatible) · abrasive pads · coloured or strongly tinted maintenance oils (will shift natural honey-gold colour) · filling micro-bevel joints.

FAQ
Q1. What is SA-01 and why is it stocked in Serbia?
SA-01 is a 150mm long plank EF maximum natural character grade engineered oak floor, light brushed and finished with natural oil, with click floating installation. It is stocked in AMUER’s Serbia warehouse rather than shipped from the China factory because Serbia’s central European location allows significantly faster dispatch to EU markets than China origin stock. For EU buyers with urgent project timelines, SA-01 from Serbia stock avoids the 15–25 day factory lead time and container shipping time from China, providing the fastest available engineered oak specification in the AMUER range for European buyers.
Q2. What is the difference between light brushed and standard brushed?
Light brushed (SA-01) applies a gentle wire-brush treatment that opens the grain texture subtly without the more pronounced ridged relief of a standard brush treatment. On EF grade with large knots and complex natural features, the light brush is deliberately restrained: it adds just enough grain texture to ensure even natural oil penetration and provide a subtle tactile quality, without adding a heavy additional texture layer over the already dramatically featured EF grade surface. Standard brushed treatments are more aggressive, creating a more pronounced ridge-and-channel texture that reads more strongly across the board face.
Q3.  Why does SA-01 use natural oil rather than UV lacquer?
Natural oil is the most authentic finish for EF maximum character grade rustic oak. It penetrates the light-brushed fibres and becomes part of the wood surface, deepening and enriching the warm honey-gold EF grade colour and producing an open-pore matte surface that is tactile and warm in a way UV lacquer cannot replicate. For clients who want the most natural, warm, and authentic presentation of EF grade oak, natural oil is the correct choice. For clients who prefer low-maintenance without periodic re-oiling, the NC-02 (same EF grade, UV lacquer, 190mm, China factory order) would be more appropriate.
Q4.   What maintenance does natural oil on EF grade require?
Natural oil requires periodic re-oiling every 1–3 years depending on traffic, using a natural or neutral warm-toned oil maintenance product. Daily sweeping to remove grit from the light-brushed grain channels. Weekly damp mopping with pH-neutral natural oil floor cleaner only. Immediate spill response — natural oil is less water-resistant than UV lacquer. Never apply standard household cleaners, lacquer products, or strongly tinted maintenance oils to SA-01.
Q5.  Can SA-01 be used over underfloor heating?
Yes — SA-01 is compatible with both hydronic and electric UFH, maximum surface temperature 27°C. Maintain indoor humidity at 45–60% RH year-round — this is particularly important for natural oil over UFH, as the combination of heating and low humidity can cause oil-finished floors to dry and crack more readily than lacquered floors. Click floating installation accommodates thermal expansion without adhesive constraint.
Q6.  Are the knots and cracks in EF grade SA-01 structurally stable?
Yes — all open features in SA-01 are factory-filled with colour-matched filler and are fully structurally stable before the natural oil is applied. During re-oiling maintenance, oil can be applied across the full board face including filled features without risk of loosening or damaging the fills. All factory-filled features in SA-01 are stable under normal residential use, cleaning, and periodic re-oiling.
Q7.  How do I check current Serbia stock availability?
Current SA-01 Serbia warehouse stock levels change as orders are fulfilled.
