Rustic Oak 150mm Long Plank Engineered Flooring Natural Oil EF Grade — SA-01
Wide Herringbone Oak Engineered Flooring 120mm — ABC Grade Brushed UV Lacquer — SA-02
SA-02 is a 120×750mm herringbone engineered oak floor in ABC select-to-natural character grade with a brushed surface and UV lacquer finish: 14/3mm 3-layer construction with a 3mm solid European oak wear layer, tongue-and-groove (T&G) glue-down or nail-down installation. SA-02 is held in AMUER's Serbia warehouse, offering significantly shorter lead times and reduced freight costs for European, UK, and Middle East buyers compared to factory-order products shipped directly from China.
The defining specification of SA-02 is its stave width: 120mm. This places SA-02 in the wide herringbone category — 33% wider than the standard 90mm staves used in most contemporary engineered herringbone products, and 71% wider than the narrow classical 70mm format of AM-14. At 120mm wide and 750mm long (a 1:6.25 proportion), SA-02 produces a herringbone with a generous, contemporary scale: each stave is wide enough that the individual board grain character reads clearly within the pattern, and the overall zigzag rhythm is broader and more relaxed than the denser pitch of narrower formats — a wide-stave herringbone effect popular in contemporary European residential and hospitality design.
The ABC grade delivers warm, natural honey-sand oak with gentle natural character — enough individuality to read as genuinely natural, clean enough to allow the wide-stave herringbone geometry to read with clarity. UV lacquer provides durable, low-maintenance protection.

Colour
SA-02 Warm Honey-Sand Oak — the natural, warm golden-cream of ABC select European oak under brushed surface and UV lacquer; ABC grade colour range from consistent warm honey-gold heartwood at the AB end to boards with small tight knots and gentle natural variation at the C end; the warm, natural colour reads at 120mm wide stave scale with clarity and individuality — each wide stave contributes more visible grain movement and colour personality to the pattern than a narrower stave would
Surface Treatment
Brushed — wire or nylon brushes remove soft early-wood fibres to expose late-wood grain lines in tactile relief; at 120mm wide, the brushed grain spans a generous surface, creating broader, more visible tonal texture than on narrow staves — the grain pattern within each wide stave reads clearly through the assembled herringbone
Finish
UV Lacquer — hard, clear factory-applied finish; seals and protects the brushed ABC grade surface; scratch and stain resistant; easy daily maintenance; no periodic re-oiling required
Grading
ABC — Select to Natural Character Grade: tight or absent knots at the AB selection end; small tight knots and light natural grain movement at the C selection end; the ABC grade is appropriate for SA-02's wide 120mm stave format, where moderate natural character adds warmth and interest to the generous stave surface without competing with the bold wide-herringbone geometry
Edge Profile
Square Edge — flush stave-to-stave joint; at 120mm wide, the stave boundary reads as a clear, generous geometric line within the herringbone formation
Installation
T&G (Tongue-and-Groove) — glue-down (recommended) or nail-down (timber subfloor only); floating not recommended for herringbone T&G format; full-spread flexible adhesive
Underfloor Heating
Compatible — maximum surface temperature 27°C; maintain 45–60% RH year-round; natural oil finish requires careful humidity management over UFH

Serbia Stock — What This Means for Your Order
Advantages of Serbia Stock
AMUER maintains a stocked warehouse in Serbia — centrally positioned for efficient distribution across the European Union, the United Kingdom, the Western Balkans, Turkey, and the Middle East.
· Shorter lead times — stock is available for immediate shipment rather than the 15–25 business day production lead time for factory-order products from China
· Lower freight cost — European buyers receive significant freight savings vs direct China shipment; Serbia's customs union arrangements reduce duty complexity for many EU buyers
· Reduced minimum order flexibility — stock orders may allow smaller minimum quantities than standard factory MOQ for certain customers; contact AMUER to discuss
· EU-compliant documentation — all Serbia-stocked products carry the same CE, FSC, EUDR, and ISO 9001:2015 certifications as factory-order products

PRODUCT OVERVIEW ·  SA-02 WIDE HERRINGBONE OAK

120mm Wide Stave — The Contemporary Wide-Herringbone Format

SA-02's defining characteristic is its stave width: 120mm. This places SA-02 in a specific and increasingly popular position in the herringbone market — the wide-stave herringbone that sits between traditional narrow parquet formats (70mm, 90mm) and wide plank flooring, producing a herringbone with a contemporary, generous scale that reads differently from both narrower herringbone products and linear plank floors.
The contemporary wide-stave herringbone has become an increasingly specified format in European residential and hospitality design over the past decade, driven by a broader shift toward generous board formats across all flooring categories. At 120mm wide, each SA-02 stave is wide enough to display the individual grain character of the oak clearly — the flowing grain, occasional small knots, and natural colour variation of ABC grade are visible within each stave as distinct board elements rather than a repeating undifferentiated texture. This makes the wide-herringbone feel more material-rich and individually characterful than narrow-stave herringbone, where the pattern's visual energy comes primarily from the geometric rhythm rather than the individual stave character.
The 750mm length at 120mm width produces a 1:6.25 proportion — a slightly less elongated ratio than the narrow 70mm format (1:7.14) or the standard 90mm format (1:6.67). This slightly squarer proportion contributes to the wide-stave herringbone's more relaxed, generous visual rhythm — the diagonal repeats are wider-spaced and more open, reading as bold and contemporary rather than classical and fine.
SA-02's Serbia stock availability amplifies its commercial appeal for European buyers: the wide-herringbone format is at its most popular in the European market, and Serbia stock means shorter lead times and lower freight costs than equivalent products shipped directly from China.
Design Guide
SA-02's wide 120mm herringbone, warm honey-sand ABC grade colour, and fast European availability from Serbia stock make it highly suited to contemporary residential and hospitality design across Europe:
Scandinavian & Japandi Contemporary
SA-02's wide warm honey herringbone is the contemporary Scandi and Japandi floor: the 120mm stave reads as materially generous and modern, the warm honey-sand colour is exactly the natural wood warmth these aesthetics require, and the broad herringbone geometry adds the structural pattern interest without the fine-pitch density of narrower classical formats.
Contemporary Warm & Open-Plan
For contemporary open-plan and family-modern interiors, SA-02's wide herringbone provides a floor with generous character and clear geometric interest at the scale that works in larger open-plan areas. The warm ABC grade honey colour is the most versatile natural oak tone across mixed interior palettes.
Boutique Hotel & European Hospitality
Wide warm herringbone oak has become a standard specification in European boutique hospitality — rooms, lobbies, and restaurant spaces. SA-02's Serbia stock availability makes it practical for European hospitality projects requiring shorter lead times and simplified freight logistics.
Installation & Room Suitability
Wide Herringbone T&G Glue-Down
SA-02 uses T&G glue-down (recommended) or nail-down installation. At 120mm stave width, first-stave alignment precision is important — wider staves amplify angular error at room scale.

· Subfloor flatness: 3mm per 2m maximum
· Adhesive: flexible polyurethane or MS polymer; full-spread trowel across stave back
· Establish herringbone spine line precisely — snap chalk line at 45° to room walls from chosen centre or focal wall
· Dry-lay 10–12 staves before committing to adhesive
· Expansion gap: 10mm minimum at all walls
· Acclimatise 48 hours at room temperature before installation
· Adhesive cure: 48 hours minimum before foot traffic
Underfloor Heating
SA-02 is compatible with both hydronic and electric UFH with T&G glue-down installation.

· Maximum surface temperature: 27°C
· Flexible polyurethane adhesive compatible with UFH
· Switch off heating 48 hours before installation
· Restart: 1–2°C per day to target temperature
· Maintain 45–60% RH year-round
· UV lacquer stable under UFH cycles
· Thermal resistance: 0.15 m²K/W maximu

Notes
Open-Plan Living & Contemporary Residential
Exceptional
SA-02's wide 120mm herringbone is ideally proportioned for contemporary open-plan living-dining-kitchen spaces where the broad stave scale reads correctly at the larger floor areas of open-plan layouts. The warm honey-sand works with virtually every contemporary residential palette.
Contemporary Warm & Transitional Living Rooms
Exceptional
The wide-stave herringbone creates a floor of generous geometric character without the fine-pitch density of narrower formats. Works beautifully with contemporary warm furnishings, natural materials, and light-toned walls.
Boutique Hotel & Hospitality Rooms
Excellent
Wide herringbone in warm honey-oak is increasingly specified in boutique hotel rooms and suites across Europe — the format's contemporary scale and warm natural colour create a hospitable, design-led environment. SA-02's Serbia stock availability is particularly advantageous for European hospitality projects.
Entrance Halls & Landings
Excellent
Wide herringbone creates a bold, contemporary entrance hall statement. At 120mm, the diagonal rhythm is clearly readable even from a distance and in narrow hallway proportions.
Master Bedrooms
Excellent
The wide honey-sand herringbone creates a warm, naturally inviting bedroom floor. UV lacquer is low-maintenance.
Dining Rooms
Excellent
Wide herringbone at dining room scale reads as generous and inviting. UV lacquer resists spills.
Compact Rooms (under 12 m²)
Consider carefully
At 120mm wide, the stave scale may read as somewhat large in very compact rooms. In small rooms, standard 90mm herringbone may read more proportionate. View a sample in the actual space before specifying.
Bathrooms
Not Recommended
Not suitable for wet environments.
Care & Maintenance — Wide Herringbone UV Lacquer
Task
Method
Daily
Dry sweep or vacuum with soft brush head. For wide herringbone, sweep diagonally along the stave direction (45° to room walls) or along the spine of the pattern. The warm honey colour shows dark grit clearly — regular sweeping maintains the natural warmth of SA-02's ABC grade colour.
Weekly
Damp mop with well-wrung cloth and pH-neutral hardwood floor cleaner. UV lacquer is fully sealed. No steam mop, no standing water.
Spills
Wipe immediately with a dry cloth. UV lacquer resists household liquids effectively. The wider stave joints of SA-02 (fewer joints per m² than narrow herringbone) make spill response slightly less critical than fine-pitch formats — but prompt action remains best practice.
Joint care
Vacuum with soft brush along herringbone joint lines periodically. At 120mm wide, joint lines are fewer per square metre but wider-spaced and more visible than narrow formats — keep clear of fine debris.
Periodic maintenance
UV lacquer requires no periodic re-oiling. Buff with manufacturer-approved hardwood floor polish every 6–12 months.
Scratches
Minor scratches: manufacturer-matched UV lacquer repair pen in warm honey-oak tone. Deep scratches: professional sanding and lacquer recoating.
Furniture
Felt pads under all furniture legs. Protective mat under desk chairs. Natural oil surface requires protective pads more than UV lacquer.
Never
Steam mop · standing water · bleach or acid cleaners · abrasive scrubbers · oil or wax products on lacquered surface · silicone-based polishes.

FAQ
Q1. What is SA-02 wide herringbone engineered oak flooring?
SA-02 is a 120×750mm herringbone engineered oak floor in ABC select-to-natural grade with brushed surface and UV lacquer finish: 14/3mm 3-layer construction with a 3mm solid oak wear layer, T&G glue-down or nail-down installation. SA-02 is held in AMUER's Serbia warehouse for fast delivery to European, UK, and Middle East buyers. The 120mm stave width makes SA-02 a wide herringbone — 33% wider than the standard 90mm format, producing a broader, more contemporary herringbone scale increasingly popular in European residential and hospitality design.
Q2. What is the difference between SA-02 (120mm) and standard 90mm herringbone?
The 120mm stave of SA-02 produces a herringbone pattern with approximately 25% fewer zigzag repeats per metre than a 90mm stave, creating a broader, more relaxed, and more contemporary diagonal rhythm. At 120mm wide, each stave's individual grain character is more clearly readable within the pattern, and the overall floor reads as bolder and more generous in scale. The 90mm format reads as more classical and versatile for all room sizes; SA-02's 120mm format reads as more contemporary and works best in larger rooms (15 m²+) where the wide stave scale can develop fully.
Q3. What does Serbia stock mean and how does it benefit my order?
Serbia stock means SA-02 is physically held at AMUER's Serbia warehouse rather than requiring factory production from China. Benefits for European buyers: shorter lead times (typically 3–7 business days to dispatch vs 15–25 business days for factory orders), significantly lower freight costs vs direct China shipment, simplified customs and logistics for EU buyers (Serbia has trade arrangements with many EU markets), and ability to receive samples from Serbia within the EU transit time rather than from China. Contact AMUER to confirm current stock levels and shipping quotation to your destination.
Q4. Can SA-02 be installed over underfloor heating?
Yes — SA-02 is compatible with both hydronic and electric underfloor heating with T&G glue-down installation using flexible polyurethane adhesive. Maximum surface temperature 27°C. Maintain indoor humidity 45–60% RH year-round. Switch off heating 48 hours before installation; restart at 1–2°C per day. UV lacquer is stable under UFH heating cycles.
Q5. Is wide 120mm herringbone suitable for smaller rooms?
SA-02's 120mm stave width reads best in rooms of 15 m² or larger. In very compact rooms (under 12 m²), the wide stave scale may feel somewhat large relative to the room area, and the pattern may not complete enough full herringbone repeats to read as a coherent geometric floor. For smaller rooms requiring a herringbone floor, standard 90mm (AM-23, AC-10) or narrow 70mm (AM-14) herringbone is typically a better proportional fit.
Q6.  How do I order SA-02 from the Serbia warehouse?
Contact AMUER at arboren@arboren.com referencing SA-02 and your required quantity in m². AMUER will confirm current Serbia stock levels, provide a freight quotation to your destination, and advise on current lead times and minimum order quantities for stock orders. Samples can also be dispatched from the Serbia warehouse — please request this in your initial contact.
Q7.  What certifications does SA-02 carry?
SA-02 carries CE Marking (EN 13489), FSC Chain of Custody, E1 emission class, and ISO 9001:2015. These certifications are maintained on all SA-02 product whether shipped from Serbia stock or as a factory order. Documentation is available for download from the AMUER website or on request from arboren@arboren.com.
