Ivory White Brushed Oak Long Plank Engineered Flooring — AM-16
AM-16 is a 190mm long plank engineered oak floor in EF natural character grade with a brushed surface treatment and UV lacquer finish — 14/3mm three-layer construction with a 3mm solid oak wear layer — in an ivory white tone that is among the lightest and most open-grained appearances in the AMUER long plank range: the natural amber of European oak lifted and bleached by the brushing process to reveal the pale, open grain structure of the wood in a clean, warm white that is neither cold nor stark, but naturally luminous.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW · AM-16 IVORY WHITE OAK
AM-16 is a 190mm long plank engineered oak floor in ivory white with a brushed surface and UV lacquer finish — a warm, pale white tone in the AMUER engineered hardwood range, achieving its ivory colour through the brushing surface treatment that removes soft early-wood fibres and opens the grain structure of the European oak, revealing the pale, bleached-looking inner texture of the wood, sealed with UV lacquer for a maintenance-free, hard-wearing surface in the versatile 190mm long plank format.
The colour of AM-16 is structural, not applied. The brushing process uses wire brushes to abrade the soft early-wood fibres across the face of each board, removing them to expose the denser, paler late-wood grain beneath. This process simultaneously opens the grain pore structure — creating a tactile, natural surface texture — and brightens the overall tone of the wood, lifting the natural amber of European oak to a lighter, ivory-inflected white. The UV lacquer then seals this open grain structure, protecting the surface while preserving the visual impression of the open-grained brushed finish.
At 190mm, AM-16 is in the standard long plank width category — a format that balances visual generosity with installation practicality across a wide range of room sizes. The 1,900mm board length and 190mm width produce a well-proportioned plank that reads as a genuine wide-format floor without the subfloor preparation demands of extra-wide boards. This makes AM-16 suitable for a broader range of installation conditions than ultra-wide formats, while still delivering the expansive, open quality of a long plank floor.
The EF grade specification means AM-16 boards have limited character features — occasional small tight knots, uniform grain flow, and minimal colour variation — distributed across the pale white surface. In the context of the ivory white colour, this clean grading reads as a consistently pale, near-uniform floor with only subtle natural variation, making AM-16 the specification for spaces where a clean, contemporary aesthetic is the goal.
Design Guide
AM-16’s ivory white tone and brushed texture work across a wide range of interior styles, but point most strongly toward three design contexts:

Japandi & Natural Minimalism
AM-16 is a natural fit for Japandi and natural minimalist interiors. Against warm white walls, natural oak joinery, linen upholstery, and stone surfaces, the ivory white floor reads as part of a continuous natural material palette — warm, calm, and effortlessly refined. The brushed texture echoes the organic quality of the other materials in the space.

Coastal & Hamptons
In coastal and Hamptons-influenced interiors, AM-16’s ivory white tone evokes the bleached, sun-washed quality of driftwood and weathered timber. Against pale blue-grey walls, white linen curtains, and rattan or jute accessories, the pale warm floor anchors the space with a natural, relaxed quality that is both fresh and welcoming.
Installation & Room Suitability
Click Installation (Floating)
AM-16 uses Uniclic-compatible click floating installation. The 190mm format is suitable for a wide range of subfloor conditions.
•No adhesive required — click lock floating installation

Care & Maintenance — UV Lacquer on Brushed Surface
| Task | Method | ||
| Daily | Vacuum with soft brush head or dry sweep -- the deep channels collect fine dust more readily than shallow-brush or smooth floors; vacuum along the grain direction for best results | ||
| Weekly | Damp mop with well-wrung cloth and pH-neutral wood floor cleaner for oiled floors -- no standing water; wax oil is not waterproof; the open grain channels are absorbent | ||
| Spills | Wipe immediately — UV lacquer is more water-resistant than oil but standing coloured liquids (wine, coffee, juice) risk permanent staining on the pale ivory surface if left. | ||
Brushed texture | The open grain channels may collect fine dust — a soft brush head vacuuming along the grain direction clears this most effectively.
Deep cleaning | Use manufacturer-recommended lacquered floor cleaner annually — do not use abrasive pads or bleach-based products which may affect the pale tone.
Never | Steam mop · abrasive cleaners · bleach · solvent-based products · oil products (will cloud or stain lacquer) · re-oiling (lacquered floor, not oiled).

FAQ
Q1. What is ivory white brushed oak engineered flooring?
Ivory white brushed oak engineered flooring is a pale, warm-white-toned engineered hardwood floor in which the ivory colour is achieved through a brushed surface treatment that removes soft early-wood fibres and opens the grain structure of the European oak, brightening the natural tone to a pale, bleached-looking ivory white, sealed with UV lacquer for a hard-wearing, low-maintenance finish.
AMUER AM-16 is 190mm wide, 1,900mm long, 14/3mm total thickness with a 3mm solid European oak wear layer, EF natural character grade, brushed surface treatment, UV lacquer finish, and click installation. It delivers a warm, naturally luminous pale floor that works across Japandi, coastal, natural minimalist, and transitional interior palettes.
Q2. What does brushed surface treatment do to oak flooring?
Brushed surface treatment on oak flooring removes the soft early-wood fibres between the harder late-wood grain lines using wire brushes — raising the grain texture above the surface plane, opening the visible pore structure, and brightening the overall colour of the wood by exposing the paler, less oxidised inner wood fibres beneath the surface.
In AM-16, the brushed process is what creates the ivory white colour: the wire brushes remove the softer surface layer that carries the natural amber-brown tone of the oak, exposing the paler, ivory-tinted fibres beneath. UV lacquer seals the open grain, protecting the brushed surface without filling or disguising the texture.
Q3. What is the difference between AM-16 ivory white and AM-03 white oak?
AM-16 ivory white achieves its pale tone through the brushed surface process that structurally brightens the oak grain; AM-03 white oak achieves its pale tone through a white oil treatment that adds white pigment to the surface — the colour mechanisms are different, and the visual results differ in warmth and texture.
AM-16 is warmer — an ivory off-white with open brushed grain texture; AM-03 is cooler and creamier. AM-16 is finished with UV lacquer requiring no periodic maintenance; AM-03 requires re-oiling every 1–3 years with white maintenance oil.
Q4. What does 14/3mm engineered flooring mean?
14/3mm engineered flooring means the board has a total thickness of 14mm, with 3mm of that being solid European oak as the wear layer on top — the remaining 11mm being the cross-ply timber core construction.
The 3mm solid oak wear layer in AM-16 supports 2–3 full sanding and refinishing cycles over the floor’s lifespan. The cross-ply core provides dimensional stability under changes in humidity and temperature.
Q5. Can AM-16 be used over underfloor heating?
Yes — AM-16 engineered hardwood flooring is compatible with both hydronic and electric underfloor heating systems, with a maximum recommended surface temperature of 27°C.
The 3-layer engineered construction resists dimensional movement under heating cycles. Maintain indoor humidity at 45–60% RH year-round. Switch off heating 48 hours before installation and restart gradually, increasing by 1–2°C per day. UV lacquer handles UFH thermal cycling without cracking risk.
Q6. Is ivory white brushed oak hard to maintain?
Ivory white UV lacquered oak flooring requires no periodic oiling or re-coating — the UV lacquer finish is sealed, durable, and low maintenance, requiring only regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping with a pH-neutral cleaner.
The pale ivory tone does show dust, footprints, and spills more readily than darker floors, so regular sweeping is especially important. The open grain channels from the brushed surface may collect fine dust particles — vacuum with a soft brush head along the grain direction for best results. Avoid steam mops, abrasive cleaners, bleach, and oil-based products.
Q7.Can AM-16 be sanded and refinished?
Yes — AM-16 has a 3mm solid oak wear layer supporting 2–3 full sanding and refinishing cycles over the floor’s lifespan.
After sanding, the floor can be re-finished with UV lacquer to restore the ivory white appearance. The brushed texture would need to be re-applied after sanding to restore the original open grain character. Full refinishing should be carried out by a professional.
