AM-26 is a 120mm herringbone engineered oak floor in CDE high natural character grade, brushed and finished with UV lacquer: 14/3mm three-layer construction with a 3mm solid European oak wear layer, click floating installation — no adhesive required. Every other herringbone and chevron product in the AMUER catalogue — AM-22, AM-25, AM-41, AM-42 — uses T&G tongue-and-groove glue-down installation that requires full-spread adhesive, a highly prepared subfloor, and an experienced parquet specialist. AM-26 uses a Uniclic-compatible click system that locks boards together without adhesive, floats over the subfloor on an underlay, and can be installed by a competent general flooring installer rather than a parquet specialist.
This is not a compromise: click floating herringbone is a genuinely different installation approach with its own practical advantages. T&G Glue-Down Installation
Herringbone T&G flooring must be fully glued to the subfloor. Unlike click floating formats, herringbone installation requires adhesive bonding for pattern stability — the multi-directional stress of the herringbone layout cannot be managed by a floating installation.
•Adhesive: use approved full-spread flexible adhesive for engineered herringbone
•Subfloor flatness: 2mm per 2m maximum (tighter tolerance than long plank)
•Subfloor moisture: ≥4% MC (timber) or ≤3.5% CM (concrete screed) before installation
•Expansion gap: minimum 10mm at all walls and fixed structures

Underfloor Heating
