Rustic Oak 220mm Wide Plank Engineered Flooring Natural Oil EF Grade — SA-10
Rustic Oak 220mm Wide Plank Engineered Flooring Natural Oil EF Grade — SA-10
SA-10 is a 220mm wide plank EF maximum natural character grade engineered oak floor, brushed and finished with natural oil: 14/3mm three-layer construction with a 3mm solid European oak wear layer, click floating installation. SA-10 is stocked in AMUER's Serbia warehouse for immediate dispatch to EU markets.

SA-10 occupies a singular position in the Serbia warehouse range: it is the only product that combines EF maximum character grade with a wide plank format. SA-01 brings EF grade at 150mm long plank; SA-10 brings EF grade at 220mm wide plank — and this distinction is transformative. At 220mm, each EF grade board presents a wide, dramatic canvas for the species' most extreme natural features: prominent knots with broad swirling halos, open cracks running lengthwise across the wide face, bark inclusions, extreme colour variation from pale cream sapwood to deep amber-russet heartwood, and cathedral grain arches and swirling interlocked grain patterns that fill the 220mm face with visual complexity. On a 150mm long plank, a large feature knot with its halo might occupy half the board width. On SA-10's 220mm wide plank, the same knot and its halo read at room scale as a dramatic natural focal point within a wide material canvas.

Natural oil is the only correct finish for SA-10. The EF grade's diversity of natural features — from factory-filled open cracks to large knot halos to pale sapwood panels — responds to natural oil with a warmth and depth that no other finish produces. The oil enriches every zone of the EF grade board differently: pale sapwood becomes warm cream-gold; amber heartwood deepens to rich honey-amber; knot halos darken and deepen around the dark knot centre; filled cracks read as dark warm lines against the honey ground. The result is a 220mm board face of exceptional warmth, complexity, and natural depth that is the floor's defining material quality.

Species
Top layer European Oak;  Poplar core and backing layer
Construction
3-Layer Engineered Wood Flooring
Total Thickness
14/3mm (14mm total, 3mm wear layer)
Top Layer
3mm solid European oak — supports 2–3 light sanding and refinishing cycles
Board Width
220mm — wide plank format; at EF grade, the 220mm board face presents maximum natural character features at their most dramatically visible scale
Board Length
2,200mm — 10:1 length-to-width ratio; creates a strong, bold long-plank floor rhythm
Colour
SA-10 Rustic Oak — warm honey-amber to deep russet-brown; EF grade natural oil produces the most extreme colour range in the Serbia range: pale cream-white sapwood boards at one end, deep amber-russet heartwood at the other, with the full mid-range of honey-gold, amber, and russet tones distributed across the floor; the natural oil enriches every tone — pale sapwood becomes warm cream-gold, mid amber deepens to rich honey, dark russet becomes deep amber-brown; the 220mm board face presents this full tonal range at wide scale, with colour variation visible across the width of individual boards as well as between boards
Surface Treatment
Brushed — wire-brush treatment opens the grain structure; on EF grade, the brushed texture follows the complex topography of large knot halos, swirling grain patterns, and grain direction changes around cracks and bark inclusions; the brushed texture on EF grade oak at 220mm width is particularly dramatic: in directional light the raised grain ridges and channels create a micro-relief landscape across the wide board face that is visible from across the room as a richly textured natural surface
Finish
Natural Oil — plant-based penetrating natural oil; feeds and nourishes the brushed EF grade oak fibres; deepens and enriches all natural colour zones within each EF grade board; open-pore matte surface of genuine tactile warmth; the natural oil is the definitive finish for EF grade rustic oak — it responds to and amplifies the natural variation of the grade rather than sealing it under a uniform film; requires periodic maintenance re-oiling every 1–3 years
Grading
EF — Maximum Natural Character Grade: all naturally occurring features retained without selection or exclusion; prominent open and solid knots from small pin features to large knots 30–60mm+; open cracks and natural checks (factory-filled, structurally stable); bark inclusions and natural voids (factory-filled); dramatic swirling grain, cathedral arches, interlocked grain; extreme colour variation from pale cream sapwood to deep amber-russet heartwood; at 220mm width, every EF grade feature reads at full, dramatic scale across the wide board face
Edge Profile
Micro-Bevel — precision machined chamfer on all four board edges; uniform V-groove shadow line between boards; on EF grade at 220mm, the micro-bevel defines each wide board's boundaries without competing with the dramatic natural features
Installation
Click floating (Uniclic-compatible) — no adhesive required; suitable for concrete screed, existing tiles, timber subfloor; expansion gap minimum 12mm at all walls; 48-hour acclimatisation required
Underfloor Heating
Compatible — maximum surface temperature 27°C; maintain 45–60% RH year-round; critical at 260mm width; natural oil requires careful humidity management over UFH
Emission Class
E1

PRODUCT OVERVIEW ·SA-10 RUSTIC OAK EF GRADE 220mm WIDE PLANK

EF Grade at 220mm — Maximum Natural Character on a Wide Canvas

SA-10 is the widest and most visually dramatic product in the Serbia warehouse range. Where SA-01 presents EF grade at 150mm long plank — a classic long-plank format where the features read strongly but within the proportions of a narrower board — SA-10 presents the same EF maximum character at 220mm wide plank, where every feature has a dramatically larger canvas. The difference is not just one of scale: it is a difference in how the floor reads and how it is experienced.

On a 150mm EF board, a large feature knot with its swirling halo might occupy 60–70% of the board width, leaving narrow grain zones at each edge. On SA-10's 220mm board, the same feature knot occupies a proportionally smaller fraction of the board width — the halo has room to fully extend before the board edges, the swirling grain around the knot flows outward into wider clear-grain areas, and the full compositional relationship between feature and field is visible across each board face. The 220mm board does not make EF grade look 'busier' — it gives EF grade room to breathe, to read as individual compositions rather than feature-dense surfaces.

Natural oil on SA-10's EF grade is not just a finish choice — it is the finish that allows the full complexity of EF grade to be experienced. Natural oil responds differently to every zone of the board: it penetrates high-tannin knot wood more deeply and darkens it more; it sits differently in the pale sapwood; it fills the brushed grain channels with warmth and depth. The result is a board face where the oil's warmth amplifies and differentiates every natural zone within the EF grade timber — producing a floor of genuine, unrepeatable natural depth.
Design Guide
SA-10's EF maximum character, 220mm wide plank scale, natural oil warmth, and Serbia availability make it the specification for interiors that embrace natural materials in their most powerful and uncompromised form. The floor is the room's primary natural material statement.
Farmhouse, Barn & Country House
SA-10's 220mm EF natural oil is the definitive specification for farmhouse, barn conversion, and country house interiors across Europe. The wide EF grade boards at natural oil finish reference the antique wide-plank oak floors of historic agricultural buildings with precision. Serbia stock availability makes this historically referenced specification immediately accessible.
Natural Maximalist & Material-Led
In natural maximalist and material-led interiors where every material is selected for its authentic, unmodified quality, SA-10's EF grade at 220mm is the floor that anchors all other natural materials. Wide, warm, dramatically characterful, and honestly natural — the floor refuses to be curated or uniform, presenting European oak exactly as it grows.
Warm Heritage & Maximalist Colour
Against rich, deep wall colours — forest green, navy, warm terracotta, burgundy — SA-10's warm honey-amber EF wide plank creates a rich, luminous floor contrast. The EF grade's knots and colour variation read as a complex natural ground beneath intense decoration. The wide boards provide a generous warm field against saturated colours.
Installation & Room Suitability
Click Installation (Floating)
SA-10 uses Uniclic-compatible click floating installation. No adhesive required. Boards float on an approved acoustic underlay.

· No adhesive — click lock floating
· Subfloor flatness: 3mm per 2m maximum
· Approved underlay: acoustic/thermal, 3mm maximum
· Expansion gap: minimum 12mm at all walls
· Acclimatisation: 48 hours at room temperature — essential before laying
· Install along the longest room dimension
· Stagger end joints: minimum 300mm between rows
· Micro-bevel joints: do not fill or caulk
· EF factory-filled features: stable under natural oil; no special handling
· Board selection: fan boards out before installation to preview the EF grade composition across the room
Underfloor Heating
SA-10 is compatible with both hydronic and electric UFH. Natural oil and 220mm width both require consistent humidity management.

· Maximum surface temperature: 27°C
· Switch off UFH 48 hours before installation
· After installation: increase +1–2°C per day to target
· Maintain indoor humidity: 45–60% RH year-round
· Natural oil over UFH: humidity control prevents surface checking
· 220mm boards: more potential for seasonal movement than narrower formats
· Thermal resistance: 0.15 m²K/W maximum

✓ Serbia stock advantage for EF grade projects: EF grade wide-plank natural oil is a specialist specification. SA-10's Serbia stock availability makes it immediately accessible for EU projects without a factory production wait.

Notes
Large Living Rooms
Exceptional
SA-10's 220mm EF wide plank is at its most dramatic in large living rooms where the full tonal range across different boards is visible simultaneously. Each board reads as an individual natural composition within the warm overall floor. The dramatic EF features and the wide plank scale together create an unforgettable material ground.
Farmhouse & Barn Conversion
Exceptional
SA-10 is the ideal floor for farmhouse and barn conversion interiors. The 220mm EF grade with natural oil directly references the antique wide-plank oak floors of historic agricultural buildings — where boards were as wide as the available timber allowed and every natural feature was accepted without selection. Serbia stock makes this specification immediately available.
Country House & Heritage
Exceptional
In country house and heritage interiors, SA-10's EF grade at 220mm reads as the correct, historically authentic material. Wide-plank EF grade natural oak is the floor that period houses would have had — SA-10 provides this in an engineered click format available immediately from Serbia stock.
Open Plan Living
Exceptional
220mm EF natural oil creates a dramatically rich, warm unified ground across large open-plan spaces. The variation between boards distributes naturally across the full floor area; the wide planks read boldly from kitchen through to living areas. Natural oil warmth anchors the open plan.
Natural Maximalist Interiors
Excellent
SA-10 is the floor for interiors that celebrate natural materials in their most unselected, honest form. EF grade at 220mm is European oak at its most powerful and authentic — the floor is the room's primary material statement.
Bedrooms (large)
Excellent
220mm EF natural oil creates an enveloping, richly characterful bedroom floor. The wide boards with EF grade features read at bedroom scale as a warm, complex material ground. Natural oil requires no re-oiling in low-traffic bedrooms for several years.
Dining Rooms
Very Good
EF grade natural oil is exceptional in dining rooms under warm light — the oil's warmth and the EF grade's tonal complexity is heightened by candlelight or warm LED. Natural oil requires prompt spill response.
Hallways
Very Good
SA-10 in a wide entrance hall or hallway reads as an immediate material statement. EF grade features visible from the entrance create a dramatic first impression. Natural oil in hallways requires more frequent re-oiling.
Kitchen (dry zone)
Good with care
Natural oil less water-resistant than lacquer. EF grade natural colour is forgiving of everyday marks. Dry zone only; strict spill protocol essential.
Bathrooms
Not Recommended
Not suitable for wet environments.
Care & Maintenance — Natural Oil on Brushed CD Grade 260mm Wide Plank
Task
Method
Daily
Dry sweep or vacuum with a soft brush head along the grain direction. The brushed grain channels on EF grade boards — particularly around knot halos and complex grain areas — collect fine grit; regular sweeping prevents abrasion of the natural oil. SA-10's warm honey-amber tone is forgiving of everyday dust.
Weekly
Damp mop with a well-wrung cloth and pH-neutral natural oil floor cleaner only. No steam mop. No standard household cleaners. No standing water. Work along the grain direction across the 220mm board width.
Spills
Wipe immediately with a dry cloth. Natural oil is less water-resistant than UV lacquer. On EF grade boards with factory-filled features, wipe spills before they can penetrate any micro-gap around filled features. Coloured spills — wine, coffee — require immediate action.
EF grade features
All factory-filled knots, cracks, and bark inclusions are fully stable under natural oil. Apply maintenance cleaner and re-oiling product across the full 220mm board face including filled features. Never sand or abrade filled features between full refinishing cycles.
Micro-bevel joints
Do not fill or caulk micro-bevel joints. Clean with soft vacuum brush along joint direction.
Periodic re-oiling
Re-oil every 1–3 years depending on traffic. Use a natural or warm-neutral maintenance oil matched to the honey-amber EF grade colour. On the 220mm wide board, apply oil in sections along the board length to ensure even coverage. Allow 15–20 minutes penetration, buff off excess. Re-oiling restores the depth and warmth of the natural oil and maintains protection across all EF grade features.
220mm humidity
220mm boards require consistent indoor humidity (45–60% RH). Seasonal humidity swings cause proportionally more gapping and closing in wide boards than in narrower formats. A whole-house humidifier in dry winter climates is recommended.
Furniture
Felt pads under all furniture legs. Protective mat under desk chairs. EF grade natural oil is durable but requires felt pad protection to prevent leg-drag marks on the oil surface.
Never
Steam mop · standing water at joints · standard household cleaners with ammonia or bleach · lacquer or polyurethane over natural oil · abrasive pads · strongly tinted maintenance oils (will shift the warm honey-amber colour) · filling micro-bevel joints.

FAQ
Q1. What makes SA-10 unique in the Serbia range?
SA-10 is the only EF maximum character grade wide-plank product in the Serbia warehouse range. No other Serbia stock product combines EF grade — with its prominent knots, open cracks, bark inclusions, and extreme colour variation — with the 220mm wide plank format. This combination is also relatively uncommon in the wider EU market, making SA-10's Serbia stock availability particularly valuable for projects requiring this specification without a factory production lead time.
Q2.  How does SA-10 compare to SA-01 (both EF grade, both Serbia stock)?
SA-10 and SA-01 are both EF maximum character grade from Serbia stock with natural oil finish and click installation. The key difference is board format: SA-01 is 150mm wide, 1,900mm long (long plank); SA-10 is 220mm wide, 2,200mm long (wide plank). At 220mm, each EF grade board has more room to display its natural features compositionally — knot halos extend without hitting board edges, colour variation reads across a wider face, and the floor presents a wider, more architecturally bold board. Choose SA-01 for a classic long-plank rustic floor; choose SA-10 for maximum natural character at wide-plank scale.
Q3.  Are the EF grade knots and cracks in SA-10 structurally stable?
Yes — all open features in SA-10 are factory-filled with colour-matched filler and are fully structurally stable before the natural oil is applied. Factory-filled knots, cracks, and bark inclusions are as stable as the surrounding board material under normal residential use, cleaning, and maintenance re-oiling. Never sand or abrade filled features between full refinishing cycles — contact AMUER for guidance on any feature that requires attention.
Q4.  How wide is the variation between boards in SA-10?
SA-10's EF grade produces the most extreme board-to-board variation available in the AMUER range. Individual boards may range from pale cream-white sapwood to deep amber-russet heartwood; some boards carry one or more large feature knots with full swirling halos; some boards have running cracks or bark inclusions; some boards have dramatic swirling grain that fills the full 220mm face. This variation is the floor's defining character — no two boards are alike, and the installed floor reads as a warm tonal landscape rather than a uniform colour. Clients should view samples before specifying to ensure the EF grade character is understood and embraced.
Q5.  Can SA-10 be used over underfloor heating?
Yes — SA-10 is compatible with both hydronic and electric UFH, maximum surface temperature 27°C. Maintain indoor humidity at 45–60% RH year-round — this is critical for both the 220mm board width and the natural oil finish. At 220mm, boards have more potential for seasonal movement than narrower formats; strict humidity control prevents gapping and surface checking. Consider a whole-house humidifier in dry winter climates with active UFH.
Q6. How often does natural oil need re-applying on SA-10?
Re-oil every 1–3 years depending on traffic. Low-traffic bedrooms may need re-oiling every 2–3 years; high-traffic living rooms may need re-oiling annually. Use a natural or warm-neutral maintenance oil matched to the honey-amber EF grade colour — do not use tinted or coloured maintenance oils that would shift the natural colour. On the wide 220mm board, ensure even oil coverage across the full board face, applying in sections along the board length.
Q7.  How do I check current SA-10 Serbia stock availability?
SA-10 Serbia warehouse stock changes as orders are fulfilled. Contact AMUER for current availability, stock quantities, pricing, and EU dispatch schedule: arboren@arboren.com / www.amuerflooring.com. Free samples dispatched quickly from Serbia stock.
